Modern Slavery Statement  

We’re committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or our supply chains and this Statement affirms our intention to act ethically in our business relationships 

Our Responsibility 

At Jurni we’re committed to ensuring that our people aren’t not subject to behaviour or threats that may amount to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and or similar human rights abuses. We’re also committed to ensuring our approach to tackling modern slavery in our own business and throughout our supply chains is consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015. 

We all have a duty and responsibility to be alert to risks, however small and there is an expectation for each and every member of our Jurni team to report any concerns and for our management to take appropriate action. 

What do we do? 

Our main business activity is credit broking. Our main business is arranging finance for and the supply of vehicles through our select panel of finance providers and our network of main vehicle dealerships. We also offer ancillary products to support our Jurni customers including service, maintenance and repair packages and ancillary insurance products, and to our Jurni business customers we also provide access to fleet management solutions, short term vehicle hire and asset finance. Jurni only operates in the UK 

How do we manage risk? 

To assess the risk, we: 

• Regularly review our existing supply chains for potential risks which may include auditing and carrying out spot-checks 

• Identify and assess potential risk areas when looking to take on new suppliers  

• Protect whistle-blowers 

Whilst we’ve not identified any risks of modern slavery, forced labour, or human trafficking in our supply chain, we do continue to be alert. 

Who is responsible for our anti-slavery initiatives? 

• Policies: Our Chief Compliance Officer is responsible for creating and reviewing policies. These are developed by reviewing legislation, looking at best practice and adapting to the needs of the company. The Board of Directors at Jurni review our polices on an annual basis or sooner as required 

• Risk assessments: Our Chief Operating Officer is responsible for risk assessments in respect of human rights and modern slavery by reviewing our staff recruitment and salaries, and evaluating our suppliers 

• Due diligence: Our Chief Executive Officer is responsible for due diligence in relation to known or suspected instances of modern slavery and human trafficking 

What training do we have? 

It’s important to us at Jurni that our people have a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking so that that may be alert to any potential risks in our business . We have a comprehensive training programme both for new starters at the point that they start their Jurni with us and ongoing for our existing Jurni team members.  

Policies 

We have policies which set down our approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in our operations: 

• Whistleblowing Policy – We actively encourage our Jurni team members, our Customers, and our other business partners to report any concerns related to our direct activities or our supply chains 

• Business Risk Policy – We assess all risks to the business, including modern slavery and human trafficking 

• Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy - Our CSR policy summarises how we manage our environmental impacts and how we work responsibly with suppliers and local communities 

Due Diligence Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking 

We’ll always undertake due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers, and we regularly review our existing suppliers. Our due diligence process includes building long-standing relationships with suppliers and making clear our expectations of our business partners, evaluating the modern slavery and human trafficking risks of each new supplier, and invoking sanctions against suppliers that fail to improve their performance in line with an action plan provided by us, including the termination of the business relationship. 

Performance indicators 

We use key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure how effective we are in ensuring slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business or supply chains.

This statement has been approved by our Board of Directors and is reviewed annually and updated as and when required.
